Summary of how we use your data
We use your personal data to allow us to provide you with a fully insured, safe environment for the sport of boxing. We do not share your personal data with any third parties (except for carded boxers and recreational boxers). We do not do any direct marketing, so you are not on any sort of mailing list.
What information do we collect?
We collect the data which you provided us with when filling out our consent and disclaimer form. Regarding carded boxers and recreational boxers, we also collect medical information and registration data from England Boxing. We also record CCTV internally and externally for crime prevention, staff safety and property protection. These images are recorded continuously and stored for a minimum period of 30 days, but never stored for more than 50 days
How do we use this information, and what is the legal basis for this use?
We process this personal data for the following purposes:
To fulfil our contract, or take steps linked to our contract as required to conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests, or for purposes which are required by law. This enables us to affiliate to England Boxing, to fulfil our insurance criteria, to take payments, to communicate with you, to provide customer service and respond to any comments or complaints you may send us. We will use data in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory and investigative purposes as necessary (including disclosure of such information in connection with legal process or litigation).
Who will we share this data with?
We will never share your personal data with anyone unless in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory and investigative purposes as necessary (including disclosure of such information in connection with legal process or litigation). In the case of carded boxers, we will share some of your information with other clubs, coaches or via a matchmaking service thus enabling our carded boxers to compete with other carded boxers from other clubs. In the case of recreational boxers, it is only the information that you are eligible for sparring which is shared by the coaches at our club.
What rights do you have?
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data; to correct, delete or restrict (stop any active) processing of your personal data; and to obtain the personal data you provided to us for a contract or with your consent in a structured, machine readable format. These rights may be limited, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal personal data about another person, or if you ask us to delete information which we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping. To exercise any of these rights, you can get in touch with us using the details set out below. If you have any unresolved concerns, you have the right to complain to an EU data protection authority. This is likely to be the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.
